This week I discovered @pan_express_birmingham (by Mailbox) is back open having had a little revamp, with more seating available and a new menu.

The shop aspect is still there but much smaller, with a larger eating area and a new coffee bar. Great for takeaway too, if you need a quick bite.

This is the crispy honey chicken Chinese burger (£7.99) but they also have a cracking 2 course lunch deal for a tenner worth checking out.

Lovely people running this, great value food - please show them some love 🖤

Got a little preview of the new tasting menu concept coming to @maneki.ramen this month. Every Saturday a small number of bookings will become available for the chef’s table experience, with 10 courses and optional wine pairing.

Think mouthfuls of Japanese-inspired deliciousness, all created by head chef @petedee93 based on his travels around the country. Here’s a little sneak peek of what the current tasting menu looks like 😍

Sittings will be at 6/8pm with only 4 spots available at each. This officially starts next weekend - bookings are now live, more info on their page.

Decided I needed to feel something this week and being that my ears are now 90% piercings I chose to get tattooed instead… and therapy is expensive these days.. 😅

I met @nathan.locoamortattoo from @locoamor_tattoostudios by accident in a pub last month ago. He was very excited about eating a hot dog and I knew instantly we would be friends 😂

Flash forward a few weeks and here I am in Stirchley. He’s eating pizza this time btw 👋🏼 I’d sent Nath some ideas (utter millennial nonsense of fine line moons - he usually does huge sleeves, poor bloke must’ve been devastated to see my little stars pop up) and he’s tweaking them ready for inking. We chat a lot of shit, have a rant about politics and then get cracking.

First up is my moon phase tattoo, something I’ve wanted for ages that was pushed forward by watching the latest NASA mission. The moon is a She btw, there’s no way something that phenomenal in all phases is a He 😂

Next up is a star, moon and sun design on the back of my arm. This was somehow not remotely painful finally allowing me to use the old “licked on by kittens” reference (name that TV show for 5 points..)

Big up Nathan for being a good sport. You can find his studio (probably the only one to have its own vitamin boost shots, fancy pants) on Stirchley High Street 💋

Edgbaston Reservoir in spring is one of my favourite places in the city.

This season always makes everything pop, making it one of the prettiest walks in Brum.

Great for sunny picnics, bike rides, long walks and forgetting your in the middle of the city.
