Throwback to a few weeks ago on @glastofest 's Pyramid Stage with the legendary @yusufcatstevens - Only fitting then that he play the Legends slot!

The Peace Train took in Berlin, Hamburg, Rome, and Marbella, before pulling into Pilton to deliver a set packed with classics (along with a few tracks from the new record King of a Land) to a crowd of around 100,000

It was a pleasure to look after Yusuf and his @gibsonguitar signature, along with a beautiful J-200 custom.

I also undertook duties as stage-butler to bass-monster and gentleman @stefan.fuhr

Big thanks to @armstrongmusicuk for sorting some replacement @klusonofficial tuners when the fates were against us!

Volume pot repair on this @moogsynthesizers subsequent 37 for @henryjohnguy, all ready for rehearsals!

Just back from a whirlwind week on backline duties with @thetubesgroup doing some arena supports for @hollywoodvampires .

It was great to see the guys after six years, delivering the goods as usual on backline provided by @ststouringprod

New Toys!

I've got a busy Summer/Autumn coming up, so big thanks to @tommyloose of @g7thcapo for sorting me out with a veritable smorgasbord of new toys for my tool box.

I spent most of yesterday evening plucking around with their Partial #3 and Partial #5 - the first allowing for either Open G or DADGAD style tunings, and the latter allowing you to effectively lower the tone of the low string to create a Drop D sound - all while still being able to chord regularly over the top! Lots of fun.

The remainder of yesterday evening was spent admiring the Big Red Tours stamped Performance 3's they sent me and drinking the wine in pic no.2 🍷

A beautiful Ibanez EW20 with figured Ash top, back, and sides.

These are gorgeous guitars, beautifully striking woods used in construction and extremely playable. Great sounding preamps, too!

This one was absolutely filthy but got a seriously good scrub, there's nothing quite like an ultrasonic toothbrush for getting rid of tons of fretboard grime quickly whilst being really gentle with the fretboard.

The neck had way too much relief so needed some encouragement to straighten before tackling a couple of high spots on a handful of frets.

Long story short, it's now playing super sweet with a set of 12's!

A tidy-up and a tweak on this 1989 Fender Strat Plus in candy apple red, looking a lot better than I do at 34 years old!

The original gold lace sensors sound amazing, and seeing the date stamps was a real joy.
