A little over two years ago I pitched an idea I’d developed with @glenroy7 and @derek_pedley to @hamishlewis at @warnerbrostvau. Today thanks to @binge, @lana.greenhalgh, @screenwest_ and the hard work of so many others we have a trailer for a 6 X 1 series. Was particularly special to work with @ashleigh_cummings again on her first project down under since Hounds of Love, and @sarahlwalker after our time on season 2 of The Twelve.

In this episode I sit down with Perth filmmaker Ben Young, whose breakout feature film Hounds of Love (2016) premiered at the Venice Film Festival and earned international recognition.

We talk about his transition from independent filmmaking to larger-scale productions, including the Netflix sci-fi thriller Extinction (2018) starring Michael Peña and Lizzy Caplan, and the crime drama Devil’s Peak (2022) featuring Billy Bob Thornton and Robin Wright.

We then discuss his new show Run on @binge through @warnerbrostvau starring @horimason and @ashleigh_cummings as well as many other incredible actors from both Australia and New Zealand 🙌
