Last week to see my show ‘Rhythm, Anchor’ at @abacusrow in San Francisco.
The photographs in this exhibition were taken in the last 4 years amid incredible loss and change, but the steadiness of making pictures remained. The title comes from an idea about breath and heartbeat as the most consistent rhythms — the anchor to life in this body. An anchor remains strong and stable in the ground, while a boat can still sway around — never straying too far from its anchor.
I love this photo, I could make this photo a million times. Thanks all for the support on this show. The shop is open 12-5pm Wednesday through Saturday to view the exhibition.

The Lost Boys of Tao. Taken last year, voyaging between small islands in Palawan. One of the most special experiences I've had. I can snorkel all day, every day when there's such beauty and abundance below the surface of the water. It feels very rare and lucky these days to be able to witness diverse life underwater. Also, it's my personal idea of heaven to sleep on a beach every night and wake up to tortang talong cooking for breakfast!! @taophilippines 💙

I’ve been unable to process many things for the last couple years. Grief, anger, all. But this also includes so many photographs I’ve made and even entire trips I’ve taken. It’s strange. Ready to walk on the mysterious path of processing, making, and most importantly presence. The path sometimes requires running and sometimes it asks to sit down for a snack break. Let’s see.
Also.. committed to making work that is for the physical world. That’s my favorite. TBD!
