I’m excited to announce I’m expanding services to include video and broadening the scope of my photography services.

Art Doc NYC will now be Chromatics Studio NYC - Video and Photo services by artist KC Crow Maddux…... (get it? :)

Soon, I will be releasing some video profiles of a few artists I was honored to work with - Levani, Cata Schliebener, and Zella Vanie. These profiles were a lot of fun to make and will offer a way for artists to reach audiences with a polished, narrative driven, introduction to their work.

Thank you to everyone who has shown so much support over the past couple of months. It was a little intimidating to jump into this full throttle, but I’m happy to say it’s been a fantastic start.

Happy New Year!

Hi, my name is KC Crow Maddux and I’d like to help you get the best possible images of your artwork. I’m a Brooklyn based, trans sculptor, painter, and photographer. I’ve worked with resin, metal, plastic, fabrics, wood, drawing, printmaking, and all sorts of paints. So, I have a pretty good understanding of the materials most artists are working with.

I’ve been shooting for friends and colleagues for many years, and recently decided to open up to the public. My goal is to make professional documentation services affordable to working artists.

You have loved and labored over your work, and though it can feel like a chore, documentation is an extremely important element of your practice. I shoot with a 45 megapixel Nikon D 850 and native lenses which can produce images of the quality needed for monographs and even poster prints (or larger). Images are important in the immediate future for residency, grant, and school applications; but also to maintain a high quality photographic archive of your work. I would love to work with you!

We had soooo much fun during this shoot for Goldie Poblador. These gorgeous and tender works are on display at Art Fair Philippines February 21-23.

Congratulations Goldie!

BPI Presents #ArtFairPH/Projects 2025: “The Rise of Medusa” by Goldie Poblador

In her exhibit titled “The Rise of Medusa,” Goldie Poblador continues her exploration of marine fauna from her 2023 show “Sea Anomaly.” Responding to the oil spills in Verde Island, she observes how these animals have adapted to the changing landscape in spite of the man-made damage. Goldie taps into multiple senses—visual, scent, and sound—to emancipate this boundless power innate to the dark, deviant side of femininity.
