Recently, we’ve been drawn to art direction styles that feel raw and real. Things like noise, glitches, and rough edges grab our attention. As the world gets shinier, we find ourselves wanting the beauty that comes from imperfection.
For this film, we used mixed media and tried out new techniques to capture something less polished and more full of life. Come see what happens behind the scenes.

We chose this style for the art direction to show the change at the heart of the film, the story of a girl’s healing journey from black and white to color. From being without identity to becoming a real person. The strong b&w style shows both her weakness and the strength that comes from turning weapons into a place for healing.
In partnership with La Familia, Aceros AZA, and the Government of Chile, we brought the vision of “Healing Domes” to life, turning steel from more than 80,000 confiscated weapons into a sanctuary where children touched by violence can find support and hope.
The film uses raw textures, distortion, mixed media, and heartfelt storytelling to convey the project’s main challenge: turning fear into compassion and destruction into safety. This project shows how much can be achieved when creative people work together with trust, skill, and the courage to try new things.

Teaming up with @ingo.sthlm @ingo.zrh @ingo.ams , we dove into Thunder’s design journey, beginning with a bold white stencil set against deep darkness. We amped up contrast, texture, and motion, all while steering clear of color.
