3D Fashion Challenge

I recently joined a 3D Fashion Challenge over at RenderHub.The challenge was just for a still image of the outfit, but I made some quick animations for here.For the challenge I wanted to create something of a hybrid of historical fashion and sci-fi.My primary tools were ZBrush and CC4. Rendered in iClone8.

Sketching Mix from 2011.

I recently came across this old sketching video I made many years back.It inspired and reminded me to do more paper sketching.I think it’s especially important these days to unplug from the ol’ computer, pop on some music and just explore random ideas on paper.It’s also very freeing to just commit ink to paper without any pencil guides.No undo button, no eraser, just go for it and make a mess. See what happens! ❤️

Animation Workflow Test

This is a test I did back in 2023. I just never got around to sharing it here. I trimmed it down a bit since it was way too long for the average viewer retention.

The goal for this was largely to showcase two human voice actors and test out Reallusion's AccuLips and facial layering animation. AccuLips did a pretty impressive job of lip-syncing the audio files. The facial animation I added separately, using hand keyed expressions. Rendered in iClone8.

Concept Workflow for world building on a personal project.
This is a very fast way to use CC4 and any image editing app to iterate concepts.I couldn’t decide between the warmer or cooler version 🤔

I made the character with CC4 and Blender. working on this helped me solidify who she is, and write more lore revolving around the character.Sort of an odd , reverse concept workflow, but I like it ❤️

My Winning entry for the 2024 Reallusion 3D Character Animation Contest (with a few updates).

For the contest, I really wanted to push myself to learn more stylized modeling & sculpting techniques using CC4, GoZ and ZBrush. I learned a ton while developing this strange piece. I'm going to keep learning and making new weird characters and animation!
