Just because you get older doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t have new adventures. I turned 44 and experienced my first @vanswarpedtour. The past kept me from ever going for various reasons, but a very good friend pushed me to go. I danced, saw some fantastic vert riding, sang my lungs out, and skanked my heart out. This trip taught me that It’s never too late for adventure. My heart is full.

When you go through archiving drives and find memories of your past.I loved the joy of riding behind a boat and just landing tricks, it’s a part of me that I really miss. A different form of creativity and personal style in every pass. Learn the technique, add your own style. Guess it’s been my mantra in life, even when it comes to spirituality. I find it still when I go to work on new projects, always learning and always adding my own style.

I am not defined by my job or my work as a Digital Imaging Technician, but I do love my work because I get to be creative with people of all types.

What do I do? I live with love, creativity, and passion for life. My job is a side effect of what I do.As a creative, it’s easy to get lost in the job as what defines you, but that should never be the case. I strive to not be defined by my job, but wish to be recognized for how I live, love, and create excellence with others.

I’m trying to live a life where my moments are defined by love, empathy, caring, and creativity. I’m proud of this moment.

Life is a series of moments stacked on each other.Living for the moment is so valuable, as it takes away the anxiety of an uncontrollable non-guaranteed future.

At this stage in life, more friends and family are passing away as I continue to stack my own moments, which brings me to the reality that I am only guaranteed the moment that I’m in.

Sometimes you get to meet great people in your life. @chris_dowling_director is one of those people who absolutely rocks. I’ve enjoyed getting to know home more over the last couple of years.

As a DIT, Digital Imaging Technician, I get to work with color which I absolutely love, but also get to be an integral part of a DP’s tools to craft a scene. #filmlife #dit #pomfortlivegrade

I love that through all the crazy things I have done, that this journey has brought me to this film community. From rolling in every position available i can manage on a call sheet to finding a color niche that lets me focus more on supporting the creative people around me. I am grateful that it has supported me emotionally, physically, and financially. However, it is not my entire identity, or my entire world.

Balance has brought me to this place of appreciation and gratitude. Appreciative of the work when I get to work and gratitude for the time off to breathe, reset, and space. Space equals time to be a healthy friend, life-partner, and father.

This is me happy working. I wear color. I like color. Opposition to the all black of the camera team usual. I am rarely in eye line of actors so I have the freedom to be colorful on set.

I miss being on set. It’s creative, challenging, social, tiring, and inspirational.I cannot wait to get back. Looking forward to to the future and the people I love getting to work with.

Going to see Moulin Rouge this weekend was a big deal for my brain, my heart and my soul. I have been anti-musical for a very long time. Maybe it was my upbringing, or maybe it was some past traumas and the ridiculous fear of being called gay, but I've been working on undoing and experiencing a lot of things in life that I didn't allow myself to enjoy.

Four weeks ago, I decided to write a musical short film. Yes, that's right, a musical. It's been something that's been rolling around in my head for about a year, but I never had the courage to really put my energy into something that sounded so ridiculous.

Through some key musical experiences in the last year and some beautiful people in my life supporting this crazy idea, I am going to venture into a world I've never let my head and heart explore. I have been a musician and a dancer for a significant portion of my past, and I have been a storyteller my whole life. It's time for these three to meet each other.

I am not out to create the best, but I am out to create something that I can say I did and that I did it with people who love me and love creating.
