i don’t think anyone enjoys making these types of posts, but man, sometimes you need to.
jesus was one of the most loyal, hardworking and optimistic people my family knew. i’ve known this man since i was in elementary school, hoping off the bus and going straight to my family’s little mexican restaurant/bodega. jesus worked with us not only in the kitchen for over two decades, but he also helped us in so many other ways. when we needed help moving places, when we needed extra hands for any thing, my brother and i needed a sitter while my parents handled problems in the business. he always smiled regardless of the circumstances he was in. he always chatted with you regardless of whether or not you reciprocated the energy. he always came into rooms with his fists pumping in the air going “fiestaaaa bro!!”. when my brother and i were small, we always called him “nina chillona” (cry baby) and he’d fake cry and wipe his fake tears to make us laugh. it was never about work or how often he clocked in or the money, he genuinely loved us and we loved him.
we took care of each other.
now that he has passed, our family is organizing a way to get his body back to mexico so he can be with his Mother and Son before the morgue cremates him. if you can please donate, please please do, any amount helps.
please see the link in my bio to do so.
te amamos jesus, espero que finalmente descanses. pronto tendremos nuestra fiestaaaa bro!! ahora soy yo la niña chillona. con mucho amor bro. ❤️
