Circleさんは自転車のあるライフスタイルを提案する本格バイクショップ。バイクパッキングと相性の良いアイテムや日常生活にフィットするアイテムを中心に展示しています。

テントはオールラウンドに活躍する新作テント、ATR-130を展示しています。
POPUPは6月1日まで延長される予定です。

We’re currently hosting a POP-UP at Circles TOKYO.
Circles is a dedicated bike shop that promotes a lifestyle centered around cycling. We’re showcasing items that pair well with bikepacking, along with products designed to fit naturally into everyday life.

For tents, we’re displaying the new ATR-130 — an all-around tent built for a wide range of adventures.

The POP-UP is scheduled to be extended through June 1.

The ATR-130 was conceived during the development of the AX series, and development began immediately after its completion. We can finally release it.
The new tent, ATR-130, was developed with a focus on rigidity and comfort, while still keeping weight reduction in mind.
Its defining feature is the structure where two main poles and a ridge pole intersect at two points, with those intersections rigidly fixed.
In conventional tents, the ridge pole does not function as a structural member for rigidity, and instead increases the projected area, reducing wind resistance.
In the ATR-130, a physically constrained triangular structure is formed at the apex where the poles intersect.
As a result, despite being a comfortable tent with a ridge pole, its wind resistance exceeds that of typical X-frame dome tents.
It is also possible to place trekking poles at the ends of the ridge pole, allowing for further increased wind resistance in severe conditions.
Ventilation performance is also at the highest level for a solid inner tent.
With a length of 216 cm, it offers more space than the AX series.
The pursuit of weight reduction seems endless.
Even if it runs counter to the trend, this is a tent we genuinely believe in.

As previously announced, we will be exhibiting again this year at Off the Grid, held on April 11–12 in Machida, Tokyo.
At Off the Grid, we will offer early releases of several items, showcase development samples, and sell event-exclusive products.
The photo shows the event-exclusive ACC-500/700 and the early-release AU-08L / White.

Rather than discarding last year’s failed production of the ACP-500/700, we reworked them into a niche item for those willing to use a pot lifter to shave off 5–6 grams.

As previously announced, we will be exhibiting again this year at Off the Grid, held on April 11–12 in Machida, Tokyo.
At Off the Grid, we will offer early releases of several items, showcase development samples, and sell event-exclusive products.
The photo shows the event-exclusive ACC-500/700 and the early-release AU-08L / White.
As you can see, the ACC-500/700 is essentially the ACP-500/700 without handles.
Rather than discarding last year’s failed production of the ACP-500/700, we reworked them into a niche item for those willing to use a pot lifter to shave off 5–6 grams.
*Please note that the handles designed for the ACP-500/700 are not compatible with this product.
Details on the AU-08L will be released at the official launch, but we hope you will have a chance to see it in person and like what you find.
Development, event preparation, and preparations for our spring/summer releases are all overlapping and demanding, but we look forward to seeing you at the venue.

We have finally released the ACP series, a groundbreaking aluminum cooking pot.
(It took six months after the previous sales suspension.)
The ACP series features an ultra-thin aluminum pot, to which the handle is attached using titanium wire, as welding or rivet fastening is impractical at this thickness. The grooves formed for the titanium wire increase the structural rigidity of the pot while also serving as internal volume markings.
The ultra-thin aluminum efficiently transfers combustion heat to the water inside, while the titanium handle and lid knob reduce heat transfer to the user’s hands.
This aluminum pot, with its precisely balanced allocation of functions, represents our finest work.
Manufacturing this product requires a high level of control in press forming, anodizing, component tolerance management, and assembly. Even within specified tolerances, each unit has subtle individual differences. While it may appear mass-produced, in reality it is closer to a handcrafted object.
Whether found in a store or received from our online shop, every ACP is a one-of-a-kind piece waiting to meet its owner.

While developing ASP-03, arata’s first closed-cell foam pad, we also explored the idea of a folding design. However, the balance between R-value, durability, and cost didn’t meet our standards, and we decided not to move forward at that time.
With the newly released ASP-14, the material performance is slightly lower compared to ASP-03, but the overall balance is significantly improved.
Compared to conventional closed-cell foam pads, ASP-14 falls short in terms of sleeping comfort and foam durability.
That said, its weight per surface area is less than one-third, making it exceptionally lightweight—and opening up new possibilities.
In warmer seasons, ASP-14 provides an ultra-light sleeping solution.

However, because they are so lightweight, their maximum strength is not very high.

It has been about a year and a half since we launched the AX series.
The DAC NFL 8.7 poles used in the AX series are extremely lightweight aluminum tent poles created through DAC’s exceptional technology.
However, because they are so lightweight, their maximum strength is not very high.
For this reason, we designed the AX series with various features to reduce the load on the poles and increase their limits.
But what should you do if you want to use the tent in environments where the load is still too much for the poles to endure?
The answer is simple:
Use tent poles with greater strength.
When heading into environments that demand higher wind resistance or snow-load capability, switch to the newly added optional poles—DAC PL 10.65.
Although the section modulus of a pole does not translate directly into a proportional increase in tent strength, the pole’s moment of area increases dramatically from 90 to 206.
Poles compatible with Versions 1 through 3 are available, so please choose the set that matches your tent.

より高い耐風性、耐降雪性が求められる環境に挑む際は新たにオプションとして設定されたDAC PL 10.65に携行するポールをスイッチしてください。

テントポールの断面二次モーメントが単純にテントの強度の向上代に比例する訳ではありませんが、ポールの断面二次モーメントは90から206へと飛躍的に向上します。

Unfortunately, the ACP series is still not ready for mass production.
However, progress is steady, and we are confident that we will complete the product.
Our Instagram came to a halt and development slowed down as well, but we are now back to moving forward at almost the same pace as before.
This is entirely thanks to everyone who continues to support arata, including the customers who offered kind words despite the inconvenience we caused.

We prioritized durability over lightness, so the weight reduction is minimal, but they are built to withstand use in various situations.
(We are also considering made-to-order production for versions compatible with past models.)

We have decided to postpone the release of what we believe to be our finest creations — the ACP-500 and ACP-700.
The reason is an unbelievable mistake by our manufacturing supplier.
They mass-produced and delivered products that were significantly different from the sample they had originally provided to us.
The handles slide during use, making them difficult to operate, and we concluded that we could not sell these as arata products.
To everyone who placed a pre-order, we sincerely apologize for this situation.
We deeply regret the inconvenience caused.
We are currently processing cancellations and refunds.
The anger and disappointment struck us hard, as if we were thrown into a deep valley.
We had been pushing ourselves forward, pretending not to notice our exhaustion — but even those steps came to a halt.
Yet, amidst this situation, there were also moments that warmed our hearts.
Once we catch our breath, we will start moving forward again to create and deliver products that we can truly be proud of.
