Last August, @glaad and @jccruzchellew brought some of us to meet with Pope Francis. After an hour with queer and trans people from around the world in his private residence at the Vatican, Pope Francis wished us all the love and success we desire, and to keep fighting.

His blessing upon us, while not casting any new light on who we know ourselves to be or what we know ourselves to deserve, may though change how others do. A gift he extended by cheerfully supporting that we share about our meeting.

Pope Francis, may you rest in peace and your humility, generosity, and goodness reign beyond the physical time you served here. You’ll be missed by many; I one among them.
