Sights + sounds of the studio.

Sometimes I paint in silence. Sometimes I listen to music or a podcast.

When I’m painting I have a lot to consider. What color palette? What inspires me? How do I want to execute? The thoughts are usually endless.

Here’s a little peek into my process for this one. I had a pretty strong layer underneath but it just wasn’t sitting well. I’ve beenthinkingabout how much I am inspired by the places I have been but also the places I choose to go to every day for inspiration.

The deeper truth is that I am seeking to be inspired by beauty. I’ve learned it isthe natural world, but it’s also atmosphere, it’s who I’m with, what I see and smell, what I taste.

If this piece of art was a piece of music, I will be releasing it as a single. I have a collection rising up in my creative brainspace, but this painting helped me make it through until I can get ready for another big launch.
