Album Of The Week: Sydney trio @dmasmusic are back with their third album, The Glow. The album was recorded and mixed by multiple Grammy Award winner Stuart Price [The Killers, Madonna, New Order] between Westlake Studios in West Hollywood and RAK Studios in London. It’s also our Album Of The Week! You can listen to it in full, this Friday, at 2pm, on Amazing Radio.

Earlier this year, the band revealed the second single from the album, Life Is A Game Of Changing, inspired by the early 90s rave scenes, the single is a nod to bands such as Underworld, New Order, Orbital and The Chemical Brothers and furthers the band’s incorporation of digital beats and sequencers in their songwriting process. You can hear these influences and inspiration when they join us for an Amazing Takeover, this Saturday at 5pm.

Texan trio @khruangbin are releasing a new album called Mordechai this Friday on @deadoceans and @nighttimestorieslabel. Taking inspiration from “reference points from Pakistan, Korea, and West Africa, incorporating strains of Indian chanting boxes and Congolese syncopated guitar,” it also “features vocals prominently on nearly every song, a first for the mostly instrumental band.” Mordechai’s 10-tracks were recorded in the group’s farmhouse studio in Burton, Texas.
