I’ll be showing my work Songs for the Renewal at Prospects during @art_rotterdam . The installation presents objects from a ritual: fountains and different kinds of whistles. Urination and breathing, two cycles honoured as sacred by the society these objects come from. While the exact nature of the ritual is unknown, it is believed to have been performed for regeneration and prosperity, to renew the good things and relationships we have.
The installation is an invitation to play the instruments and collectively imagine what this ceremony might have looked and sounded like.
There will be two performances per day keep an eye on the Prospects performance schedule and join me to experience the activation.
The scenography is created by @jackbardwell , who worked some spatial magic to help me tell the full story of this work.
