No resentment because I know people only hurt others from places inside themselves they haven’t had the courage to face yet.

And still, compassion does not mean access.

I can understand the wound and still choose distance.
I can see the pain behind the pattern and still decide I no longer want to be part of it.

Forgiveness, for me, has never meant pretending it didn’t hurt.
It means I’m no longer willing to let what happened keep living inside my body.

Some people are moving through life from survival, projection, fear, and old pain they haven’t learned how to hold.

That doesn’t make what they did okay.

It just means I don’t have to become bitter because of it.

I can release the weight.
I can keep the lesson.
I can bless the part of me that stayed soft, even after being hurt.

And I can move forward with peace.🥹🫂

There comes a point in the healing journey where you are no longer meant to keep yourself away from the joy of existing🤍

You have reflected
You have purged
You have met parts of yourself you once avoided

And eventually, something in you begins to say, okay… now I want to live.🥹

But now you get to return to the world with different eyes 🥹

The same places feel new
The same experiences reveal more

Even ordinary life starts to carry a kind of sweetness because you are present enough to actually receive it 🤍

That my friends is what we call integration 🥹

It is bringing everything you have learned into relationships, work, pleasure, creativity, money, community, and the full messiness of being alive.

You are allowed to enjoy the human experience again.

Honestly, I think that is the whole point 🫂🪽

Forgiveness does not mean pretending it did not hurt. It does not mean minimizing what happened or convincing yourself that their behavior was okay.

For me, it became possible when I started looking at the person beneath the harm.

I would imagine them as a child. Before the defenses. Before the cruelty. Before whatever pain shaped the way they learned to move through the world.

That perspective did not erase my experience, but it helped me stop making their actions a statement about my worth.

I could see that what they gave me came from what they were carrying, not from what I deserved.

And from that place, I could release them more honestly.

I see you.
I forgive you.
I let you go.

Not because what you did was acceptable, but because I no longer want to keep you alive inside my body.

The way you see something shapes the way you experience it 🫪

You can stay trapped in the past by only looking at it through what it took from you, or you can begin to notice what it revealed, what it strengthened, and what it made impossible to ignore 🪄✨

The same is true for the future. If you meet it with fear, everything ahead starts to feel threatening before it has even arrived.

Perspective is powerful because it changes the emotional charge of what you are holding.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Sometimes the shift begins there.

You know what’s SEXY? Tell me what could go right.

I already know how something could fail. Fear comes up with that version very quickly. It does not need to be repeated, praised, or treated like the most intelligent perspective in the room 🫪🙃

What I want to hear is possibility 🪄

Tell me how it could work. Tell me how it could surprise me. Tell me how the outcome could be even better than what I imagined.

Because constantly rehearsing disappointment does not make you wiser. It trains your mind to expect defeat before life has even had the chance to respond.

I would rather stay open to the best-case scenario and trust that if something unfolds differently, it is still guiding me where I need to go.

So no, I will not reward pessimism dressed up as realism.

Give me the hopeful take.
I’ll find the sticker.
