When an algae bloom left Mattoon, Illinois, without safe drinking water in July, one of our team leads sprang into action.

As a leader in our Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) department, she recognized the serious health risks, especially for members who are older or homebound.

With the help of local officials, they filled 50 one-gallon containers with clean water. At sunrise the next day, she hand-delivered them to the doorsteps of 42 members in need. That afternoon, she and her co-workers checked in with calls to ensure everyone had what they needed to stay safe.

This compassion is just one example of how our employees put our members first, every single day. #HealthierHappensTogether
