A Palestinian pirate captain reclaiming looted artefacts. A ghostly voyage through time. Premiering in Asia, the film opens with a live narrative performance, where history, myth, and sci-fi collide.

After retiring from a life of rice farming in a small village in Chiang Mai province, Thailand, Lung Neaw returns to his homeland, far removed from the political turmoil of Bangkok. Through Rirkrit Tiravanija’s lens, we follow Neaw as he moves through forests and open fields. His interactions with the local sage, the elephant king, and his fellow villagers foster an open space for dialogue, free from bias and judgement.
