After weeks of online auditions and planning, here are the top 22 contestants for the first ever @missindiasouthpacific Australia chapter! It's been a great learning experience stepping into such a brand new project.

I was really impressed by how confident and well-educated all the girls we interviewed were. It was tough to say no to a few of them, as the margin was so tight.

Now the fun really kicks off this weekend with rehearsals, and then we've got the big show on May 31st at the gorgeous National Theatre!

First and foremost, @jaafarjackson deserves huge congratulations for taking on such a mammoth task and absolutely nailing it. You can safely say it’s in his genes and perhaps his destiny to portray the extraordinary life of Michael Jackson on screen.

Looks, costumes, and even voice can be achieved with makeup and AI voice modulation, what is trulyspecial is the way his eyes speak, his command over the dance moves, and the unmistakable aura, that cannot be taught. He deserves every bit of praise coming his way.

Yes, there are already millions of reviews across countless platforms debating this film. But my suggestion is simple, watch it through the lens of a FAN and you will not be disappointed. The fact that, even years after his passing, his music continues to generate over 500 million streams on Spotify... PERIOD. There is truly no other artist on this planet or even on alien planets (I checked with Rocky from Planet Erid 😜) who has achieved this level of global, timeless impact.

The film is a sanitised version of his life, a subtle publicity exercise but that doesn’t make it untrue. It stays honest to the core of who he was; the songs he wrote, the madness each one unleashed, the revolutionary choreography that every generation has tried to copy and failed, and his deep love for animals and children. Complex early years of his life, loss of childhood dreams, pressure, and abusive daddy issues, all made him a man he became.

This film isn’t about controversy; it’s about celebration.

Project Hail Mary @projecthailmary looks like a big sci fi space movie, but under the grand CGI and complex physics lies a deeply emotional story about friendship, loyalty, sacrifice, and love.

Ryan Gosling (always had a huge crush on him 😜) is effortless as Professor Grace, doing galaxy maths, and Rocky the alien who’s way more likeable than most humans. The kind of non-filter critic you want in your life.

Film’s dialogues are very natural and witty with memorable soundtrack, especially the haunting Māori song “Pō Atarau.” I had to come home and google it’s origin.

As an Indian film lover, it reminded me of Koi Mil Gaya, the first film which made aliens feel emotional and personal for us. Fun fact Jadoo, an alien character (inspired by legendary E.T ) in Koi Mil Gaya was conceived and designed using a heavy 15kg animatronic suit built in Australia.

Went in for nerdy space science, stayed for feelings and an alien bestie. One of those rare book to film adaptations that actually works accordingly to nerdy reader in the house @swapnilogale
