複雑な物語
𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘀 と 𝗟𝘆𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗴 は、オランダで最初期のコンクリート構造物である貯水槽の中で出会った。
かつては水を蓄えていた空っぽの場所で3日間、即興音楽を録音。それ以来、共に演奏や録音を続けている。
カワイ K1、クラリネット、サンプリング、ヴォイス、素朴な楽器等でサウンドコラージュする手法の文学的音楽はそれぞれ、彼らがひろいあつめた物語と自らに宿る物語。
2024年リリースの共作 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒂𝒚 は、オランダ最北端の都市／デン・ヘルダーを舞台に想像された物語。オランダで最も激しい爆撃を受けた都市でもあり、70年前にはほぼ完全に地図から消し去られた。
𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘀 の作品 𝑶𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒌𝒓𝒖𝒊𝒔𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 は、「我が家が一番」「どの家庭にもそれぞれの悩みがある」という異なる言い回しの言葉を組み合わせた造語で、妹から借りたギターやゴムバンド、𝗞𝗶𝗺 のキッチンにあった鍋やフライパン等が使われている。
𝗟𝘆𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗴 の作品 𝑶𝒔 のタイトルはオランダ語で「去勢された雄牛」・Oxを意味し、呼吸や潮の満ち引きのような規則的なリズムで前後に動く振動・oscillationの略語でもあり、窓を開けて外の音が音楽と溶け合うようにして聴くことが推奨されている。
彼らの多様な音楽エッセンスがそのままラインナップとなったような、下北沢のレコードショップ・𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 。
この日は店主／𝗬𝗼𝗵𝗲𝗶 𝗞𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼║スタッフ／𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘂、両氏によるDJで綴られる物語にも、魅了される音場となります。

On this late winter early evening at OUTLINE’s headquarters, Lacey Verhalen will read her surreal short story Second Nature, after which Kim David Bots plays an improvised live set with clarinet and electronics.
