診療していると、肌や髪や服にはすごく気を遣っているのに、歯磨きは最低限、フロスや歯間ブラシはごくごくたまに、最後に歯科検診に行ったのは1年以上前かしら…という方が意外にも多い現状に歯科医師としてずっと疑問を抱いていました。

成人の8割が歯周病、という大手各社のCMももはや聞き慣れてしまい、いつまで経っても「自分事」にできないオーラルケアの分野。

スキンケアやコスメのブランドのように煌びやかで楽しい世界観は殆どなく、見た目が華やかなものがあっても歯科医師の目線で見ると絶対に入っていて欲しい成分が不足している…というようなことばかりで、悶々としていました。

もし、私が機能的なだけでなく、選ぶ時も、置いてある時も、使っている時も楽しいオーラルケア用品を作れたら、こんな現状も少しは変えられるかもしれない…！

そして、そんな決意をした数年前のある日、現代的な歯磨き粉を初めて国産化した「平尾賛平商店」という明治時代初期のブランドの存在を知り、その機能の先進性と商品の圧倒的なモダンさに衝撃を受けました…！
機能と美しさを両立した、自分の理想とも言えるブランドが過去に存在したとは夢にも思わなかったからです。

このブランドのことをさらに調べていくうち、幸運にも創業家の方との出会いにも恵まれ、さらにご縁あってこの度、この平尾賛平商店という歴史あるブランドからオーラルケア用品をリリースできるようになっただけでなく、代表取締役・三代目平尾賛平として経営に携わっていくことになりました。

生まれ変わった平尾賛平商店の使命は、初代賛平が切り拓いたオーラルケアの分野をさらに発展させ、革新性と美意識を持ったオーラルビューティーブランドとして物語を再び語り直すことです。

歯科医師の目線から見ても機能的で美しいオーラルケア製品を展開し、プロダクトを通して日本のオーラルケア意識の向上を目指します。

私の人生始まった…！

I am thrilled to announce the launch of an oral care brand, a long-held dream!

As a dentist, I often see patients who care for their skin, hair, and clothes meticulously but neglect their oral hygiene. This has always been puzzling to me.

Despite widespread awareness, many still don't take oral care personally. Unlike the glamorous world of skincare, the oral care market lacks excitement and often misses essential ingredients from a dental perspective. I believe creating functional and enjoyable oral care products can change this.

A few years ago, I discovered "Hirao Sampei Shoten," a brand that first domestically produced modern tooth powder, founded in 1878. I was amazed by its innovative functionality and modern design. Further research led to a fortunate meeting with the founding family, and I am now honored to release products under this historic brand and serve as its President and CEO.

The mission of the reborn Hirao Sampei Shoten is to innovate and enhance Japan's oral care awareness through functional and beautiful products.
