Holding a feeling like restless parenting toward my practice. I spent last year touching the pressure inside the deep vacuum tubes within myself, wondered where it comes from and headed.
What I dropped along the way to pick up what I now hold, embrace both now integrated beyond form.

"Delusive boundary on a bay window swamp"
Inspired by the lotus swamp of Izunuma-Uchinuma in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, this mirrored lotus, reminiscent of the swamp itself, transcends human perceptions of blooming.
In the space where the dissolving horizon of a cloudy sky merges with the mud-colored depths of the swamp and all boundaries disappear, the lotus simply exists in silence. Its pale pink petal veins resemble pulsing blood vessels—fragile, yet vital.
By encompassing the emulsification of boundaries and the paradox of momentary persistence,
the form possesses a quiet dignity and eathereal beauty of nature, a presence at once timeless and impermanent. It transcends what is seen and known, dissolving the very edges of perception and recognition.
The piece is positioned within the vertical section of the bay window and at the intersection of the window and bay window, creating a seamless integration with the architectural space.
acrylic on canvas print, acrylic mirror boad, wood
60×120×35cm

Recap from "OBJECT / OBJECTION"
Launch Pop-Up @oriberlin 🪨🫂🪞
Still feels surreal fearless, releasing this bunch of archive and their digital extensions after 7y since my last release, during such a chaotic incubation period of life time.
Through paint fluid and brush to tip of fingers, I tried to reach out for something common minimal unit, a topic that could connect to a kind of universal physicality, obvious to anyone, anywhere on this planet E.
Thank you @madebyceleste for all the helps!
Huge love for y'all who came by and took the copy in your hand 📘🤍 Talk to soon in the next issue.

📘New Release Upcoming🤍
Available in two distinct print editions, having a title for each that calls to each other "𝗢𝗕𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧"
and "𝗢𝗕𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡" with risograph print cover sleeve, launching on the 13th of June🪽
𝗢𝗕𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 / 𝗢𝗕𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 draws from Yuka Kobayashi’s 2020–2024 painting archive. The title reflects duality: object as form, objection as resistance—positioning painting as both archive and argument.
With a minimalist approach and “non-colors,” Kobayashi reveals each work’s structure. “Removing the color information allows us to consider the anonymity and fascination of intention projected onto the canvas through a monochrome mask, and to re-evaluate the relationship between color and the intention behind it in the painting.”
Stripped to their “skeletons,” the paintings become records of presence and motion. “Painting can be a recordable medium for transcription of body movement which traces how we exist on this world.”
By digitally extending textures, the works transcend flatness, inviting viewers to see painting as a living, shifting form that challenges perception

What began 13 years ago as a hand-bound zine was merely an outlet to document what was unfolding inside and around me. Over time, I realized that no experience in the living moment could surpass the retrospective process of imagining and filling in the blanks of what I had forgotten, as reflected in my previous title. Even when I stepped away from documentation to explore more "creative" themes, they still felt like compensations for something missing in reality, never sufficient to leave a lasting form.
And yet, whether fiction or nonfiction, when something that began as a documentation of my own experience to realize by myself, takes shape and finds its way into someone else's hands. The act of turning the pages creates a moment where personal introspection is quietly shared. In that vacuum tube of that connection, an intimate dialogue with the world begins. That space, that form of dialogue, is perhaps my tradition of feedback practice on this planet, a modality engaging with the world and something my own lore I carry forward to future.
In this upcoming release, I personally delve the dynamics of own body as a living vessel and the will that resides within it, reflected on the act of drawing. This is not to mend something fallen from oblivion, nor a way to frame events to set destination. Ultimately, I feel that I have touched upon something universal and enduring, which is never directed toward any specific individuals, as I pursue this journey as a life being on this planet.
