I felt like I was hitting my videoing stride by the Bristol show at @drinkmoorbeer

This show was insane

And that’s in no small part due to the positivity and energy from the crowd and bands that just fed backwards and forwards between crowd and stage

Stress Positions @stresspositions are my favourite hardcore band of today. I’d go so far as saying that they are one of the best of all time. They are that fucking good.

I’ve been listening to the new record Human Zoo which comes out later this month…it gives me an instantaneous high that gets better and better with each listen. They write songs about stuff that matters to me and many more people.

Jono…a tornado of energy, precision and swing…he’s one of those rare drummers that is the glue but also the tune….

Russell…the anchor with depth, agility and distorted muscle. His bass is in perfect synchronisation with, well, everyone. And I have never seen anyone soundcheck as quick as Russell. No messing around. It’s beautiful to watch.

Ben shreds with razor precision in a melodic assault that is so tight with the rhythm section, sustaining a big sound and big hooks….also getting that balance between all out assault and these breakdowns, these moments of tension…

Stephanie…well, she’s got one of the best voices around…quick, agile, holy fuck powerful, a delivery that’s unique in hardcore in how she sings tightly with melody, rhythm and sustain. Live, Steph is one of the most enthralling, positive front people I’ve ever seen.

They have an amazing, innovative artist in Daniel Harris Mendoza @dnlhrs I believe art is more important than ever to music today in order to help convey the message that lies inside the sleeve and Danny does this with pure intuition and vision.

I am full of gratitude that I could spend a week with them on their first UK tour and all the awesome friends I made along the way.

I’ve put together a short video for each town they played in (except Manchester Punk Festival) which I’ll release every other day. First time I’ve done this so I’m nervous to share it.

There will also be a tour diary going up on the @iwannajumplikedeedee website at the end of this short series which will have some of my notes, more graphics and artwork and all these videos in one place.
