Happy 7 Years @werun313 🥳
Nearly two years ago, @asics captured this while we were at The Running Event in Austin, TX. With us celebrating our run club anniversary, it felt right to finally share. Season Opener tomorrow starting with #TwoMileTuesday! See y’all soon Detroit! May the 4th be with you! 🏁🏁🏁

This is like a movie but it’s really very life like! 🎥
Live on the big screen at @therunningevent in Austin, TX! This was filmed back in July in Tokyo for the Global Campaign of the Novablast 5! Shoes available for preorder now! 🌎👟
Always grateful for these incredible opportunities! Being your authentic self is the best thing you can do! 🙏🏾✨

London was Love! It feels incredible to close this chapter and get everything I wanted out of it. The @Londonmarathon was an electric experience from start to finish!I’m grateful that it ends this way with so much representation from @werun313. Happy that I was able to have the squad with me and @asics came through with the fits, making us look good out there! I was able to run away with a 2:56:33 finishing time. Retirement from the marathon starts Noowwwww! 😂😭

Great times in the Lou 🏁🏁🏁
Crazy to think the last time I was out here was 2018, bringing 50+ students from Detroit (Cody High School) through on an HBCU tour. Now I’m back again, this time for our annual run club members-only trip. Full circle moment for real.
Major love to @rickyfromst.louis and the entire @stlruncrew squad for putting on an amazing weekend. Nothing but respect for how y’all showed up for @werun313 x @peace_runners773 and made us feel at home in your city. 💪🏾
This is what run crew/club culture is all about; community, connection, and always showing love wherever we land. Keep going, y’all got something really special out there!

🅱️🅾️ys to Men! 🤙🏾
Today marks 17 years of brotherhood with these guys… life has a way of telling a story that only God can supernaturally illustrate.
We buried our big brother @thebigboyaj aka Uncle King Kong this weekend, not even realizing this moment would be the very thing that brought us all together around the same time we crossed into Alphaland on March 23, 2009. What was heavy turned into something filled with laughter, reminiscing, and so much love from our TSU family. It brought healing for a lot of us… felt like a rebirth, a new beginning.
Life is full of unknowns, but one thing we all know for certain is that our day will come. If AJ taught me anything, it’s to be grateful for every day, show up and be intentional about loving your people, and live on purpose in your calling each day.
Thank you for everything, big bro. The love you gave, the impact you left it’s something we carry with us daily. You may be gone, but your spirit lives on through all of us. “Eyes open, oxygen flowing. Blessed to see another day on God’s Green Earth” — LLBBAJ 🦍🕊️

Those were the words you chose to share anytime you decided to post for over a decade as a reminder to not take a single day of living for granted. These last few days I’ve been grieving, crying, trying to process, and wrestling with the words to describe the loss of a giant of a human being you are. If you were at The Land of Golden Sunshine between 2003–2009, you already know… there was no TSU experience without Atlanta’s own Big Boy AJ. You enhanced so many of our lives & college experiences.
In my journey to Alpha, with you being my prophyte, the 9 before me, you held your number in high regard and always pushed me to keep that same energy high! You looked out for me like a real big brother, and honestly you did the same for our whole line… that’s why we called you Uncle King Kong. You made us all better young men. 💪🏾
You were a true connector. Always opening doors, creating opportunities, and giving people access to rooms and spaces, no hidden agendas, no expectations in return. Just love. That’s simply who you were. Even recently, anytime you touched down in Detroit I’d get that text: “Yeee!” and I already knew you were coming to the city and we had to link. From the @vedothesinger concert where you put me and my wife front row, to the last time we saw you while you were on tour with @keyshiacole giving us VIP access and bringing the TSU Detroit family together… that was just you. Always showing love. Never would’ve thought in a million years these would be our final moments shared, I just knew we had more time. 💔
A lot of the way you moved in this world is something I always admired and tried to mirror, just having a genuine heart and wanting to see everybody win. Your TSU family is hurting badly right now. We truly lost a legend. I’m grateful for the 41 incredible years you lived and for all the love you poured into us while you were here. I think you made God proud. 🙏🏾✨
Til we meet again,
Big Love Big 9. Yeee! 🦍🤙🏾

Yeee! 🦍🤙🏾

HERstoric night in Detroit ✨
Celebrating Madam Mayor @marysheffield! It only took 324 years for this moment, the city’s first woman ever elected Mayor of the @cityofdetroit. The first inaugural ball since 1974, with former Mayor Coleman Young. What a time to be alive and well! 🖤
Let’s rise higher Detroit! 💪🏾
