I stumbled on this wonderly bouwwerk when kayaking from island to island in Lesbos, a trip to be with myself for ten days after breastfeeding Stella for a year. I remember sitting in that tiny little no sun area, the black square and while meditating I suddenly felt my mother was leaving us. It was as if I felt her tumor already before she did. Such beyond everything strange very quiet moment when mom and daughter connect on a soul level.

Sian Davey dreigt haar warme huis (én wonderlijke bloementuin!) te verliezen door een uitzettingsbevel. Het enige dat ze kan doen om dat tegen te houden is het zelf kopen. Maar Sian en haar gezin hebben geen eigen inbreng.

proberen we samen het prachtige nest dat Sian bouwde voor haar gezin en the creative body proces te behouden.

Sarah en Joke creëren voor het eerst samen, elf collages om ten voordele van Sian te verkopen. Zachte, intieme mozaïeken die een gevoel van thuis oproepen. Op vrijdag 1 & zaterdag 2 mei worden de werkjes tentoongesteld in Sarah’s atelier in het oude pandjeshuis in de Abrahamstraat in Gent, daarvoor wordt de marmeren binnenzaal omgetoverd tot een magische verbindingsplek, en ook de deuren naar de grote, wilde tuin zullen openstaan, telkens van 10 tot 12, met croissantjes en ons.
