My finale gown for Season 18 of @rupaulsdragrace ! I can’t believe after a year and a half of this process… it’s finally over. It’s been the ride of a lifetime and has been so unexpected and challenging at every turn, but I’m so grateful. Drag race is truly the coolest hardest scariest bestest thing I’ve ever done and it’s changed my life and given me sisters I love with all my heart!! It’s been a month since it aired and I’ve been in the thick of touring and I’m finally getting some time on the planes between shows to go through these photos! How FAB!!!
Corset, arm corsets, draping, and stoning @theninicoco
Hundreds of hours of stoning by all my girlies alliewinters @ajescamilla77 @thepettypatty @alnbrry @viv.ian.vy @itsbananasplits @dr.zackarina @raquelle.c.schelle
Wig @genderfcked.wigs with stoning by me
My design for this look was intended to be a nod to my entrance look while still experimenting with new materials, techniques, corsetry, and shapes. I definitely have some edits to it now… but it’s a snapshot of where I was and I’m so proud of how my skills have evolved even since. We made this look last June while also making promo and other finale looks and it was such a crazy push to get it all done so suddenly after the season wrapped, but my friends came together and I am so grateful they volunteered so much time to bring this all to life.
Photography @monicalloyd_ it has been such a joy to collaborate on this massive project together! We both went into this wanting to experiment and keep building our studio skills and I can safely say we went so beyond that. Thank you for being on this journey with me and grounding me in the chaos of squeezing these shoots in while the season was airing. It was A LOT but we made it through!! Your talents are immense and I can’t wait to keep evolving our photoshoots and styles even more!
And to @a.j.escamilla I couldn’t have done any of this without you. Every look, every moment, every choice, you had a part in. I love you endlessly. Not enough words in the human language to thank you.

⚡️Nini Coco!⚡️ It is SO challenging to find balance in organic shapes and geometry…it’s one of the many things I admire about your artistry, so I thought I’d give it a shot myself!
Though the reference photo by the talented @monicalloyd_ was in black and white, I challenged myself to not just add color but experiment with the illusions of light and hue shifts…The color theory really made me think! A delightful blend of intuition and analytical thinking …A million tiny decisions…and a lot of music! ✨
You are so unique and talented, @theninicoco .We all can’t wait to see what you do next!!
Love,
Renée
