SXSW London introduces 'Spain in Transmission: New Digital Work'.
Spain is a country with a rich tradition in the visual arts, known best for classical masters such as Goya and Velazquez and institutions such as The Prado. However, Spanish culture has evolved to focus on innovation, and this is reflected by a wave of contemporary artists who are well aware of tradition, but who are making work using the latest digital tools including AI.
To celebrate this we are displaying work from four artists working at the forefront of digital arts in Spain. One of these artists is filip custic (@filipcustic) – a Tenerife born artist who was awarded a Latin Grammy in 2019 for his artwork on Rosalía’s album El mal querer, and has hosted solo exhibitions at La Térmica (Malaga, Spain, 2019), Parco Museum (Tokyo, Japan, 2023) Museo Cerralbo (Madrid, Spain, 2024), and ARCOMadrid El Confidencial (Madrid, Spain, 2025).

'Spain in Transmission: New Digital Work' will be on display at the Truman Brewery for the duration of SXSW London 2026.

SXSW London returns to Shoreditch next week, from 1-6 June.

Psssssst! We’re here to let you in on a not-so-secret-secret. Autonomous ride-hailing company @Waymo are making their rides available to London’s public later this year.
Joining our wonderful city’s extensive travel options – tube, bus, bike, your feet – Waymo are set to launch their services through the Waymo app.
With just a few days to go to SXSW London, you can look forward to hearing from Waymo themselves. Their Chief Product Officer, Saswat Panigrahi, will be taking to the main stage at 1.25pm on Tuesday 2 June, for a talk on ‘The Robotaxi Reality’ and how Waymo plans to tackle London’s complexity.
They are also joining the panel ‘Accessibility & The City’ – looking at how to create a London that works for everyone.
Additionally, you can drop by the Waymo Studio + Cafe in Protein Studios from Mon-Thurs where you can grab a coffee and take a peek under the hood to see how the Waymo Driver works. We hope to see you there!
