Yesterday, February 25, Reliance Insurance stood tall in honor of Pink Shirt Day.

We believe that protection goes beyond insurance policies.

It’s about looking out for one another in our schools, our workplaces, and our neighborhoods. We were so proud to see our team members united to spread a simple but powerful message: Kindness is the standard.

Did you know? Pink Shirt Day started in Nova Scotia in 2007. After a Grade 9 student was bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt, two fellow students bought 50 pink shirts and handed them out to their classmates. What started as a small act of solidarity by two teenagers has grown into a global movement recognized by the United Nations.

We wore our pink to remind everyone that a little bit of support can change someone’s world. Let’s carry that spirit of kindness through the rest of the year!
