The water currents bring seasonal change,
Along with it, It brings showers of blessings and prosperity;

My lone boat had set sail in those currents for Ranchi,
But it mysteriously anchored near Karachi;

As i swam ashore, fighting high tides, rocks and embankments,
Looking for fresh sweet water and nourishment,
I found this beautiful maiden, who offered me more than I could fathom;

I realised I had not only anchored my boat,
but also my gaze;

Steadying my breath and my heartbeat when she gave her hand to pick my weary self,

“I took the solemn oath, In the Name of God, I, take you, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death.”
