Tulipwood is here—just in time for spring and the @smithsoniancraftshowsswc.

This rare rosewood, originally from Northeastern Brazil, has become nearly impossible to source due to overharvesting. The small shrub-like tree was sought after for its vivid pink and red swirls, but even more so for its fragrant oils—once crushed and used in a famed 1920s perfume (still made today, though no longer in its original form).

The Tulipwood I’m using was responsibly sourced from old stock that’s been stateside for years. I was able to purchase a very small amount, and I’ll be allocating just a few pieces into my collection each spring—so we can savor its beauty slowly and deliberately.

A little over a week ago, an incredible team of people helped me pull off a really fun photoshoot! Before I start sharing the final images, I wanted to give you a glimpse behind the scenes and send a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it happen.

Where do I start? @madisonjanehair and I met when we were both just starting our businesses (only a few years back), so getting to bring our work together for this shoot was extra special. Sculpture jewelry meets hair sculpture—your stunning, complementary styling completed every look!

@megest1994 provided the perfect wardrobe to set everything off, and I loved pairing our pieces together here at home! Meg also carries my work in their Brooklyn & NOLITA locations, so if you’re in NYC, you can pair them together too. 😉

@karis.marie_—you are a beauty inside and out, and seeing the pieces on you activated the work in a new way! No surprise here, but the camera loves you!

And last but absolutely not least—Bill Green @mtlb and the kind folks at @bluespiral1. This shoot never would have happened without Bill’s vision, excitement, and connections. Shooting this collection inside Blue Spiral Gallery, surrounded by gorgeous lighting and beautiful art, was unreal!

Valentine’s Day is pretty low on my personal priorities list—but sometimes it is nice to think of someone, just because.

Different woods carry different meanings, so I’ve created a small selection of featured pieces for the occasion, mixed with a few of my personal favorites. You really can’t go wrong with Purpleheart 💜—and Bloodwood, with its deep, rich tone, has long been associated with passion 💋

This collection was created as a more accessible entry point into my work—pieces I’m proud of, designed for everyday wear, a little more casual, and intentionally less polished (but not any less considered).

The name is literal: while my classic collection is polished to 7000 grit, the 800 Series is finished to 800 grit—similar to how I’ve always finished my key chains. The result is a softer, more matte surface that shows the character of the wood and requires less labor to produce.

I’m also introducing niobium for the first time. It’s hypoallergenic (commonly used in piercings and medical applications), making this collection wearable for folks with silver or gold sensitivities—and more affordable as precious metal prices continue to rise.

The 800 Series launches with earrings just in time for Valentines & available now in my online shop. An 800 Series Necklace line is in the works to leave you with something to look forward to. 🙂
