When Mira’s nicknames trigger a full-on crisis cell! 😱😄
A little peek into my conversation with @antoniomichaeldowning, host of CBC’s The Next Chapter, and my translator @jpablostrauss as part of the @oneereadcanada book club.
Sometimes, it’s the tiniest details in a book that spark the biggest debates.

To the MVPs of One eRead Canada, we would like to thank you!

One eRead Canada wouldn’t be possible without publishers @coachhousebooks, @ecwpress and @editions_alto; vendors Cantook Station (@demarqueinc), @cloudlibrary_app, @hoopladigital, @overdrive.inc_ and @pretnumerique; author @ericchacour and translator @jpablostrauss who help bring this nationwide digital book club to life. Your support helps spark connections, unite readers across the country and create meaningful conversations through literature.

On behalf of libraries and readers across Canada, we offer our thanks!

🥰📚As April comes to a close, I’m feeling especially grateful. It’s been a month filled with love for the English edition of What I Know About You, carried by the incredible dedication of librarians.
First, across Canada, where the book was highlighted -without holds or waitlists- in over 650 public libraries as part of @oneereadcanada.
And then, thanks to librarians, the novel was selected for the international @dublinlitaward, where it has now reached the finals (winner announced May 21).

This journey also echoes the support the book first received from the librarians in its original version, with recognitions such as the Prix Culture et Bibliothèques pour tous, the FNABEH prize (for hospital libraries), and the readers’ awards from libraries such as André Malraux (St Philbert de Grand Lieu) and Alfred de Musset (Paris), in France.
Grateful for all those who place stories into readers’ hands, again and again ♥️
