CLUTCH HITS 🥎

The MIT softball team, ranked 25th nationally and second in the NEWMAC Tournament, scored seven runs with two outs as the Engineers took down No. 3 seed Springfield, 10-2 on Tuesday.

MIT advances to the winner's bracket where they will face top-seed and No. 12 nationally ranked WPI on Friday at 4:00 PM

⭐️ ATHLETES OF THE WEEK ⭐️

Ava Ladd became the third player and program history to knock in 100 RBI as they recorded the game-winning hits in the Engineers victories over Coast Guard to lock up the two seed. Ladd hit .435 for the week and knocked in eight runs

Sharona Huang went 3-1 including a complete game shutout win over Coast Guard in which she gave up just five hits and one walk. She pitched to a 1.31 ERA. #RollTech

With a 4-0 NEWMAC Weekend featuring wins over Smith and Coast Guard, the MIT softball team secured the number two seed in the upcoming NEWMAC Tournament. MIT came from behind in game two against Smith to earn the win, and notched a walk-off win in the opening game against Coast Guard. #RollTech
