My heart is full! I’ve been trying to gather my thoughts. This is a full circle moment! 10year old Jessica will be so proud.
So, I’m indecisive about a lot of things but I’ve always been sure I wanted to be a filmmaker!!!
Over the years, I’ve gone around in circles but somehow it still leads me home (film) where my heart’s at.
I’ve been chasing/doing this film thing for a while now, and somehow 2024, the year that tried me the most (lost my dad) I had just left the set of GRIND2 when the idea hit me, that I needed to train to become a professional filmmaker. Although I had done some virtual film courses with other academies but where else is better to get properly trained than the prestigious @ebonylifecreativeacademy
The process that led to my being admitted and subsequently becoming a student of ELCA was purely God’s grace! I couldn’t even make it to the scheduled physical interview (story for another day) but some how God did! Props to my amazing HOD, bless her heart! Finally the process had begun. I had become an ELCA production design and Art Direction student.
