🚑 As the Greater New Orleans Foundation continues to host trainings and events at the Center for Philanthropy, staff recently completed @arclouisiana Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification to better support guests and colleagues. 💙

This hands-on training equips our team to respond to a range of emergencies—from basic first aid to cardiac and breathing situations—ensuring a safer, more prepared space for everyone who walks through our doors.

A new milestone for New Orleans’ growing BioDistrict 🧬

Beken Bio, a biotechnology startup focused on early ovarian cancer detection, has opened a new lab at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center—advancing work on blood-based testing and helping bring new biotech jobs to the region.

This reflects a broader, collaborative effort to grow the BioDistrict, where the Greater New Orleans Foundation has made a long-term commitment to support a dynamic, job-creating, and equitable life for our community.

Through this program, participants strengthened the skills, relationships, and systems-level thinking needed to lead impactful, equitable organizations—while centering and elevating the voices of Black, Indigenous, and other leaders of color.
