If you know us, you know that Los Angeles sits at the center of our DNA. Our identity is rooted in the scrapiness of this city’s DIY creative spirit - without it, we wouldn’t be here, and we’d be without that sauce that makes our dancefloors so special.
We’ve been dreaming up ways to further platform and support artists across mediums who’ve grown from this same ethos….
Today, we are very happy to announce Fast At Work: Artists in Residence - our new program aimed to platform and support two artist projects per year across two mediums: Music and Visual Arts. Every year, we will select and champion new artists who we believe to be at the cutting-edge of their disciplines and deserving of notoriety on the world’s stage.
The program features a financial and structural commitment from FAW - harnessing our label, events, and experience - culminating in a year-end event fusing raving and visual art featuring these artists and their crafts.
Today we are very happy to announce our 2026 Artist in Residence: Music - LA’s own Trax Unit
@traxunit has time and again shown a commitment to LA’s underground. Not only have they fostered their own distinctive take on American house and techno – a raw yet relaxed sonic identity that almost seems to infuse the essence of LA’s warehouses into their music – but they’ve also developed a tight knit, warm community around them via their @gyration___station parties/label, plus gigs at almost every reputable party in the city. Over time, we’ve watched this duo grow from excited, steadfast partygoers into serious and formidable artists, all while remaining humble, approachable, and truly devoted to the community. We are thrilled to officially welcome them into the Fast At Work family.

FAW005 // STONES TARO // CREVASSE 🚁 ⚠️
Digital + physical preorder: April 9 2026
Release date: April 23 2026
Locked and loaded with a new perspective on their fast-not-hard philosophy, Fast At Work flight 005 officially departs LAX on April 9th with a scheduled arrival in Kyoto, Japan on April 23rd.
Piloted by the renowned and widely loved Japanese beat-smith Stones Taro, this sacred flight ushers in a deliverance of 3 divine productions that transcend turbulence, lifting towards the atmospheric space within dub and breaks.
While the title track ‘Crevasse’ hints at Taro’s terrestrial roots, the depth of the production tilts towards the stratosphere with its breezy, effortless experimentality. On the flip we see two more original versions of this dichotomy: ‘Eye Drop’ sonically fuses earth and the heavens in a more straightforward yet enveloping way, whereas the closing ‘Fruid Ring’ picks the best elements of the other tracks to ensure a smooth landing.
The record is then rerooted in earthly sensibilities via choice Naarm-based producer LOIF, who reworks the title track into an intricate, mutating formula of physicality and strength.
A1. Crevasse
A2. Crevasse (LOIF Remix)
B1. Eye Drop
B2. Fruid Ring
‘Eye Drop’ is out everywhere today. Receive download when you preorder the EP on Bandcamp.
Written and Produced by @stonestaro
Remix by @tek_dec
Mastered by @understimuleret

Today we are very happy to announce our 2026 Artist in Residence: Visual Arts — Reid Emerson August Bode (@schmeid )
If you’ve spent time on a Fast At Work dancefloor over the years, chances are you’ve already experienced Reid’s work firsthand.
As our longtime lighting designer, Reid has had a lasting impact on the visual language and production of our parties — helping shape the atmosphere, tension, emotion, and raw energy that define so many nights in our world. Beyond FAW, Reid has quietly become one of the essential forces behind the LA underground: part of the small but mighty crew of hardworking audio and lighting professionals who put this scene on their backs every weekend and make these parties possible in the first place.
What we admire most about Reid is that his work has never been about spectacle for spectacle’s sake. There’s an intuition and restraint to what he creates — an understanding that lighting and spatial design can fundamentally alter how music, architecture, and people interact with one another. His contribution to this city’s underground reaches far beyond aesthetics.
As part of the residency, Reid will develop and debut an original site-specific installation work at our year-end Artists in Residence event alongside our 2026 Artist in Residence: Music, @traxunit.
We are honored to officially welcome Reid into the Fast At Work family in this new capacity.

Tomorrow, rising-star @adobeprincess makes her LA debut at FAW.
adobeprincess is an NYC-based DJ whose sets are patient and emotionally driven, shaped by rhythmic interplay and a subtly twisted yet sensual sound palette. Moving between dubby minimal techno, chugging rhythms, sparkling breaks, and melodic textures that drift toward the progressive, she builds narratives that evolve steadily, drawing the dancefloor into immersive states of tension and release that feel dreamy and a touch surreal.
Her sunset set at Sustain Release 2025 — a shimmering journey that moved between shadow and glow — sits alongside regular appearances at Nowadays, Mansions, Public Records, and her monthly residency “strobe” on The Lot Radio.
