Hi Darling! If you are new here, I wanted to introduce myself as the Founder of Darling and tell you a little bit about us. I’m Sarah Dubbeldam and I started Darling in 2011 with a group of passionate women. We were the first magazine to not Photoshop women and be size inclusive, with conversations centered around true beauty, character and worth.
 
Over the last 12 years, we have published over 3,000 articles with a goal to help combat that negative voice in your head that says you aren’t enough. Our tagline, “you are a work of art,” is meant to remind you of your purpose and worth.

We also believe in technology-free, in-person experiences and have hosted dozens of “Darling Dinners” all centered upon our mission statement. We hope to be able to see you at one soon.

That’s Darling: Where I will be featuring brands I love, personally use, and want to support. Send me your company or recommend one! ⁠

Inside Out: Thoughtful questions for you to ask yourself, or pose at home or at a gathering. ⁠

Darling Dinner: We are excited to do more dinners around the country, so this will be the icon to watch for if you want to join an event. ⁠

Digital Detox: We know we are all on our phones too much, so this is a reminder icon to join us in logging off one day a week. ⁠

There's nothing that can replace words, creativity and beauty from the heart and mind of a real human. I know this decision has consequences...when as a brand we could be quicker, or more productive, or perfectly on trend using AI, it just doesn't sit right with me. All the writers, artists and photographers I've worked with over the years bring an authenticity that can never be replaced by technology. They are the ones that built Darling alongside me, and I value them beyond words. If you're a creative, be encouraged that you're irreplaceable! 💗
