Goooood morning! It’s gray and cloudy here today, calling for an easing into the week with some warm chai. This simple cup of deliciousness brought me joy, so I dressed it up and had to share.

I hope you entered into this virgo/pisces eclipse season with grounding and ease. You may encounter intense emotions this month. Embrace them as a gift. Lean into whatever comes up and explore the root of that emotion. This is a good time to transmute, grow and transition from the past.

This is also an important time to explore and hold healthy boundaries. Take care of yourself, love on yourself, give yourself grace, and allow for ease and warmth in moments of resistance. Your body intuitively knows what it needs. Let it guide you. You hold the wisdom of the universe inside you. ❤️✨

DARE TO DREAM!
If you’re overwhelmed and having trouble imagining the future right now, you’re not alone. You might be frustrated, reactive, dissociated, procrastinating, or stuck in a loop. That’s your body trying to keep you safe. These are “defensive subsystems” described by Ogden and colleagues, in Trauma and the Body

These subsystems keep you from dreaming. To dream, the body must believe it can afford to hope. That’s not just poetic, it’s physiological. Dreaming activates parts of the brain associated with possibility, agency, and connection.

In the book, the authors write about “narrowing the field of consciousness” and explain how trauma narrows our attention and awareness to immediate survival. Our bodies prioritize safety, not creativity, and that affects how we respond to stimulus.

Dreaming requires enough regulation to feel safe imagining the unknown. Yet, in survival mode, long-term vision gets shut down. If your nervous system is stuck in flight, freeze or collapse, dreaming can feel dangerous and out of reach. But remember, dreaming and hoping are radical acts. Dare to return to yourself.

If you can’t access hope at this moment, and you’ve stopped dreaming, try asking yourself these questions:

🔸Can I close my eyes and take one breath that feels grounding?
🔸Can I soften into this moment for 10 seconds?
🔸What would dreaming feel like in my body if i can put down my to-do list or shut out the outside works for a minute?

This week, I’ve been reminded of the importance of humility.

The world is constantly pushing us toward producing, performing, and perfecting. Often, we subconsciously put these expectations on ourselves and others. We perpetuate cycles making healing harder to navigate. The reality is, healing is deeply personal. Everyone’s journey is unique. Releasing judgement and the urge to impose our timeline or expectations onto someone else’s path is the biggest lesson in humility.

When we let go of expectations and create space to listen to our bodies, to pause and listen to others, to have compassion, love enters the room and the healing begins. Healing blooms in unique ways and unexpected spaces.

Can you offer yourself grace and compassion?
Can you offer it to others?
Can we hold space for one another and the many different forms growth and healing embody?

Allow yourself to be seen. Let’s witness one another with open hearts. ❤️

Sometimes the body forgets it’s safe. Small acts that prime your brain toward safety and happiness can have a major impact on your everyday life. A smile can tell your brain “I’m ok. I can be present. I can be social. Being connected makes me feel safe.” This isn’t about pretending everything’s fine. It’s about giving your nervous system a chance to return to itself.

Try one of these practices:

1. place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly. Close your eyes. Inhale deeply. Exhale slowly. Smile gently. Feel what that does in your body.

2. place your right hand on your left shoulder, place your left hand on your right shoulder. Close your eyes. Inhale deeply. Exhale slowly. Smile gently. Feel what that does in your body.

* Priming is a technique where exposure to one stimulus influences a person’s response to a subsequent stimulus, often without their conscious awareness.

Mushrooms are nature’s alchemists. They transform death into life, and are a metaphor for how something beautiful can arise from hardship. Trust it to guide your next step, not just in business, but in every aspect of your life. Let your choices be rooted in what you truly believe.

Where have I been seeking external validation instead of looking inward?

What core values do I want to guide my next chapter? Am I honoring them in my daily actions?
