Looking back at our conversation with Robert Pattinson in Crash 80 as he continues to push his career into bold new territory. Most recently, he appeared in ’The Drama‘, sharing the screen with Zendaya (@zendaya) in a compelling project helmed by visionary director Kristoffer Borgli (@kristogger).
In the interview, he reflected on his shift from global stardom to working with visionary auteurs, embracing unpredictable, independent projects like ’Good Time’. Drawn to complex characters and morally ambiguous stories, he spoke about trusting daring directors, chasing originality, and building a career defined less by scale than by instinct, risk, and creative freedom.

Premiering today at the Festival de Cannes in Christophe Honoré’s (@chhonore ) ’Mariage au goût d’orange‘, Ji-Min Park (@welovejiminpark ) brings her singular presence back to the screen.
Primarily a visual artist, Ji-Min moves between art and cinema without ever fully belonging to either. First revealed in ’Return to Seoul‘, she brings to the screen a perspective rooted in displacement, navigating between cultures, classes, and identities.
Now appearing in ’The Little Sister‘, she continues to treat acting as an extension of her practice. One that transforms intimacy, memory, and lived tension into form. Between visibility and withdrawal, control and surrender, her work exists in that in-between space where fragility becomes power.

Following the premiere of her new film ’Moulin‘ yesterday at the Festival de Cannes, we‘re revisiting our interview with Louise Bourgoin (@louisebourgoin_), photographed by American artist Sam Samore, in Crash 72. The actress reflected on her attachment to independent cinema, artistic freedom, and the instinctive way she approaches both film and image.
Speaking around the release of ’I Am a Soldier‘, Louise discusses navigating between intimate auteur projects and larger productions while remaining deeply rooted in French cinema. Trained in fine arts, she describes choosing roles sincerely rather than strategically, drawn to filmmakers who challenge narrative and visual form. Across cinema, fashion, and contemporary art, she revealed a singular artistic sensibility shaped as much by visual culture as by performance itself.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of VALIE EXPORT (1940–2026), a radical pioneer of feminist performance art whose work permanently disrupted the image of the female body in cinema, art, and public space.

Continuing our revisit of the fashion story captured by Bruce Gilden, the Magnum photographer known for his rebellious and unpolished vision, for Crash 96, first published in 2022, we meet Birgitt Doss (@birgitt_doss), whose beauty is never defined by age. Long before this conversation became visible on the runway, Crash was celebrating faces shaped by time, experience, and character. A reminder that beauty does not fade with age - it evolves, gaining strength, depth, and singularity.
Recently seen on the runway during Paris Womenswear Fashion Week for the Matières Fécales FW26 show, Birgitt Doss embodies a vision of fashion where age, individuality, and presence take center stage. Her casting reflects a broader shift in the industry, one that moves beyond youth as the default measure of beauty.

As Oklou (@oklou_ ) performs today at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, we’re looking back at her feature in Crash 93.
Long before the world caught up, Oklou was already building her own universe - somewhere between alien synth-pop, fantasy landscapes and emotional storytelling. In our interview around the release of Galore, she spoke about creating narrative music, trusting intuition over expectations, and finding freedom beyond traditional ideas of pop performance. From transforming samples into dreamlike textures to imagining songs as scenes and characters, her work has always existed in a space entirely her own. Revisiting this conversation now feels more relevant than ever.

CRASH 108 – THE PRIVACY ISSUE
One of the most memorable voices of his generation, Raphaël Quenard (@raphael.quenard ) has carved a path defined by instinct, unpredictability, and an unmistakable presence. Moving effortlessly between the offbeat worlds of Quentin Dupieux and more grounded, intimate narratives, he continues to blur the lines between comedy and something far more elusive.
For this issue of Crash, the actor took part in a photo shoot inspired by the aesthetics of the Grand Siècle, in which he models the first Dior men’s collection designed by Jonathan Anderson.

Allen Jones (@allenjonestheartist ), the pioneering British Pop artist known for his provocative sculptural explorations of the human figure, found his work back in the spotlight at this year’s 2026 Met Gala. Collaborating with Kim Kardashian (@kimkardashian ), he created a sculptural breastplate that positioned her look between fashion and artwork, turning it into a form of living installation.
In that spirit, we revisit our interview with Allen Jones in Crash 103. At the time of the interview, ’From the Gods‘ was on view at the Galerie Almine Rech (@alminerech ), marking his third solo exhibition. Best known for his late-1960s series ’Hatstand Table and Chairs‘ - a scandalous work featuring a wax woman in S&M attire on all fours supporting a glass table, which had a lasting influence - he revived it here as a monumental 3D video installation titled ’In Camera‘. He explains that painting remains the starting point of his practice, leading to hybrid works combining painting and sculptur: “I am a painter who sculpts.”

Mixing behind-the-scenes animatronics, prosthetics, furniture, and sets with the exhibition of four moving image works, he provokes questions about the power of cinema, the trust we place in images and our perception of truth.
“Prom” is curated by Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel (@rebeccalamarchevadel )and is on view at Lafayette Anticipations (@lafayetteanticipations ) until 19 July 2026.

As fashion increasingly opens space for older models, the runway is beginning to reflect a broader spectrum of age, presence and lived experience, challenging long-held ideas that equate relevance with youth and instead positioning aging as visible and integral to beauty.
This shift brings us back to our 2022 fashion story with Gisele Zelauy (@originalgiselezelauy), captured by Bruce Gilden (@bruce_gilden ) in Crash 96 - an approach we explored early on, foregrounding faces beyond conventional timelines. The American photographer and longtime Magnum Photos member, is known for his close-range, flash-driven imagery that rejects polish in favor of raw presence and individuality.
A defining face of late ’80s and ’90s fashion, Gisele Zelauy recently returned to the runway at the Tom Ford FW 26/27 show under Haider Ackermann during Paris Womenswear Fashion Week, her appearance marking both the return of a key figure and fashion’s growing focus on longevity, visibility and careers that extend far beyond a single era.
