Yesterday still doesn’t feel like real life. What a surreal moment. God is good. We dreamed of this since we were teenagers. Thank you so much to the @recordingacademy for this prestigious honor. Thank you to the voting members for seeing us, and listening to ‘ALKEBULAN II’. You made this happen and we are both so grateful. This moment represents unity between the United States and Africa. I pray that this album serves to uplift Africa, African talent, and shows that we are all connected. My ancestors’ blood courses through my veins, and their energy resonated fully on this album. I hope this work makes them proud. I dedicate this award to my beautiful wife @angelavbenson who has been with me every step of the way throughout this journey. Our first GRAMMY win.
