prod. is a monthly social where producers get together & share stuff they've been working on. We welcome any and all genres / skill levels!
📁 Bring your music on a phone or USB! Phones need a USB-C output, apple lightning output or stereo jack output. USBs need to be the USB-A kind formatted to FAT32 and the files need to be .MP3 or .AIFF (if you process your tracks in Rekordbox they'll have a better chance of working!)
🎼 Bring whatever! Even if it's really short & really rough! Whether it's a track you released a few years ago or a 4 sec loop you cooked up that very morning, so long as YOU produced/helped produce it!
🎤 We usually do one track per producer to begin with so everyone gets a chance to play something, but if there's time we'll call people back up to play more, so bring more than one track!
👂🏻 We'd recommend returning to your seat in front of the speakers while your music's playing but if you'd like to stay behind the decks for whatever reason that's fine too (some people like to provide commentary throughout, scrub through/skip ahead w/ certain tracks, put a face to the name etc.).
🎸 If you'd like to add a live element to your music (e.g. a voice or guitar) then reach out to us beforehand and we'll see what we can do.
🏠 The event will take place in AAJA's cosy bar/cafe area.
🤗 If you're not a producer but still want to come and listen/meet people, you're more than welcome!

As clubbing continues to get more expensive there are less and less places for artists to perform on their own terms; the best parties are the ones with no agenda beyond a sound system and a dance floor
Free entry with donations encouraged ~~ 100% proceeds go towards CDR’s Pay It Forward campaign, raising funds for music education programmes for young people.
