"Baptism Overland"

Asia Samson, founder and host of the channel Baptism Overland, has always been a "creative". His first camera was the Polaroid he got when he was 7 yrs old and his first introduction to video editing came in high school splicing film. Growing up with artistic parents, he spent a lot of his years in their studio learning to draw and paint.

But he's never been an outdoor person.

It wasn't until he fought testicular cancer in 2006 that he realized he's been sheltered from exploration and, during a camping trip to the Florida springs, he took on a vastly different perspective. While battling cancer he was told he may never have children so when he and his wife Jessica miraculously conceived their son Aris, Asia knew he wouldn't allow Aris to grow up not having seen the world and thus began his passion for off-roading.
As a bi-product, this new hobby gave him a chance to combine all his passions both old and new...the ability to explore places he's never seen while capturing photos and create video content. Baptism Overland believes you know where the roads will take you...and that's not just with overlanding but in all areas of life. And sometimes you never knew what you were looking for until you actually just get out there and find it.

Jon is the creator of Florida’s first and only self guided adventure route for 4x4’s and ADV Riders. The Florida Adventure Trail is a 1200 mile adventure route through many of Florida’s forests rural areas.
