Every set pushes me a little more artistically, and with the honour of opening for such an epic headliner I really went in on the challenge to find some really special supporting tracks that really fit the vibe. A little slowed down, deep, vibey and emotional with still a jungle essence ✨ is what I had in mind, and after playing around and experimenting for a while each track felt really good, and was chosen with real intention. ⁣

When it came to the night of the show, it could not have felt better to be in charge of the energy rising, and the seeing everyone connecting to each song was on another level of bliss. What a night!! 🪩 ⁣

At Burning Man last year, after waiting 16 hours solo to enter the Playa, exhausted but still so alive with anticipation - I closed my eyes and asked a simple question.

“ What can I do to align myself with the right people, attract the best, most loving experiences & just have an incredible first Burn? “

Almost immediately, I received a reply. “Just say thank you. And keep saying thank you.”

…Taking that to heart, I decided to enter the playa from a state of unlimited gratitude, believing that in every moment there would be a gift - whether it looked delicious and amazing at first glance, or more like a temporary challenge to overcome.

And honestly… I had the best Burn… which I really do believe I owe to those very simple instructions I received at the start.

Since then, I’ve been consciously trying to live each day from that place. Just saying “thank you” for everything, and really meaning it. And miracles have been happening. Doors I didn’t know existed have been opening, a beautiful worldwide community of people I deeply prayed for came flying in, an amazing new home just became available & life just keeps getting more and more interesting.

I’m starting to conclude that when we take a moment to recognize how much we’re actually, continuously being supported - God (the Universe / spirit / creator / force behind it all…) hears it, and wants to give us more.

So as an experiment, I highly recommend giving it a try. Even if we’re right in the thick of it and everything seems to be falling apart… miracles can still be attracted from that place. Especially from that place.

So again… I want to say thank you.

The intentionality of the design around nature conservation, the workshops, the community talks filled with so much depth and true human connection.. the experiences designed to not only strengthen the bonds between ourselves, our hearts and each other but to invite a little spicy play and expansion into the mix.. ✨ … and of course, the MUSIC. 🔥 All of it blew me away.

This was the place I discovered Ecstatic dance and truly let myself fly FREE for the first time (I’m obsessed with them now) 🕊️. The first place I felt HOME within a community of people just like me. ❤️‍🔥 The place I’ve built deep and lasting friendships that started from the most serendipitous moments. The place I discovered @budokonuniversity , which led me to spending a summer in Montana with the most badass crew learning Jiu Jitsu, yoga and mindset work. I discovered Herbalism there, where I began studying the healing power of plants and the medicine that mother earth already provides for us. I also discovered one of my favourite artists (and now friend) @koramusique three years ago at 7am Monday morning when he played the most legendary sunrise set… which my music has now been heavily influenced by. It was my introduction into the world of medicine music and learning the Beauty Way, which my life and choices are heavily guided by today. 🍃🌹… I cannot express enough gratitude for this place.

I’ve laughed, I’ve cried there (the good kind), and have never felt so “me” than right there, salty hair, barefoot, connected and free. 🤍 The jungle is medicine, the very best kind!!

I’ll be playing a little set 7pm Monday evening in the Amber lounge, so if you’re around come find me! 🍃

A deeper dive into the mix: Over the years, I always felt that my favourite DJ sets were the ones that took you on journey far past playing what was typically expected. The ones that gave you what you wanted, yet kept things moving in both exciting and unexpected directions - making you feel, expand, groove and come alive.⁣

I also’ve learned how much responsibility the Opener has to not only set the energy up in a very specific kind of way, but also to keep the anticipation rising for the rest of the night to unfold. With that in mind, I still wanted to weave all my favourite influences and genres I loved into one powerful mix, and I think it hit the mark.⁣
