While most 16-year olds will be sitting mid-term exams next Friday… Matt Basso will be on a plane to Tasmania, and will be making his @batteryworldaustralia @aussie_racing_cars debut with @corishmotorsports
Following in the footsteps of Aussie car icons, such as @reecechapman25 - who made his debut around the similar age, of 15 years old in 2015, Basso will be looking to replicate Reece’s young gun success, on the biggest stages, of the @supercarschampionship at Symmons Plains Raceway, Tasmania
“Yeah I’m super excited for Symmons Plains and to make my debut in Aussie Racing Cars” Said Basso,
“Have enjoyed the last test days with Corish and the team before my debut.
“To be racing alongside the Supercars is amazing and I couldn’t explain how excited I am.
The 16-year old is well beyond his years, and spends most weekdays either behind the wheel of a race car, or in studios filming radio segments, promoting his racing journey, story & the countless sponsors that he’s picked up along the way, such as @castrolracinganz & @unit
“This is what I’ve always dreamed of ever since I was a kid… to be racing on the big stage, and I couldn’t do it without the help from my sponsors and family.
“I’ve always been focused on my dreams… it’s important to promote yourself every step in the journey.
Basso will have the backing of powerhouse team in Corish Motorsports next weekend, having completed multiple test days with this team, at SMP prior to his debut weekend,
