The UK Minister for Equalities has laid the EHRC’s Code of Practice for Services, Public Functions and Associations before UK Parliament. This means that she has approved the Code, and it is now available to MPs and the public.

The new draft code represents a huge step backwards for inclusive sport, and we are carefully reviewing it to understand the full extent of its implications.

Our groups, programmes and services are not changing. We are proudly trans inclusive and continue to work to extend the rights and participation of all LGBTIQ+ people in sport.
Please take time to look after yourself if you need to over the coming days, and check in with your trans and non-binary loved ones too.

Trans+ participants needed for a trans-led study investigating the lived experiences of transgender+ people in the UK & their participation in physical activity by Korey from the University of Leeds.

Starting 28th February at 2.30pm: Baskteball!

Friday 20th February: Bowling (at World of Bowling)

The LEAP East Community Cup is back! Join Trans Active Edinburgh and other LGBTI+ sports clubs in the area to come together in a friendly bowling session and get to meet each other.

Friday 20th February at 6.45pm at World of Bowling. Trans Active will pay for participants’ entries, and as ever we can help with transport costs. We’ll have up to 6 places available.

Be aware that bowling tends to be an inherently noisy activity so bring headphones if they’ll help! You absolutely don’t need to be good at bowling to take part, and you’re very welcome to use the ramp and bumpers 🙂
