Working on The Amazing Spider-Man was such a fun experience and getting to work withmade it even more memorable.
Funny little behind-the-scenes story: one day I thought I was doing Andrew Garfield a favor and left a healthy nut bar on his chair so he’d have a snack between takes… completely forgetting he’s allergic to nuts. Thankfully he never ate it, but when he saw it he looked at me and said, “Why are you trying to kill me?” We had a good laugh about it afterward. In honor of my birthday month and all of my wonderful new followers, I’m excited to officially announce a creative character contest inspired by the strange and unforgettable world of the Beetlejuice afterlife waiting room!
🎭 THE CHALLENGE:
Create an original full character design (face and body — no floating heads or makeup-only closeups) of someone you might find sitting in the afterlife waiting room of Beetlejuice.
Your character should:
* Be completely original
* Tell the story of how they died through their costume, makeup, styling, and overall design
* Fit within the quirky, strange, darkly whimsical tone of Beetlejuice
* Be creative and theatrical rather than graphic
🚫 PLEASE NOTE:
* No excessive gore or extreme horror
* No AI-generated artwork or edits ORIGINAL MAKEUP AND COSTUMES ONLY
* Must be your own original work
