REGISTRATION UPDATE 🚨 the enthusiasm for this year’s race has been incredible! General registration for the 2026 Monterey Bay Half Marathon SOLD OUT in just eight days. We look forward to welcoming a record number of runners to Monterey November 7-8, 2026. If you didn’t get a chance to register, we are thrilled to share that there is still a way to run the sold-out race.
 
To accommodate runners who missed general registration and to support the fundraising efforts of the Big Sur Marathon Foundation, we will be releasing a limited number of half marathon entries on Global Running Day, June 3rd at 8 AM PT on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
Proceeds from these “Race Benefactor” entries directly support the Big Sur Marathon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose mission is to enrich and empower our community through charitable giving and inspire healthy lifestyles through memorable running experiences. 

Your support helps fund BSMF community fitness programs throughout Monterey County in addition to the Foundation’s annual donations to volunteer groups that benefit local schools, nonprofits, public safety agencies, and environmental organizations.

We look forward to welcoming a record number of runners to Monterey November 7-8, 2026. If you didn’t get a chance to register, we are thrilled to share that there is still a way to run the sold-out race.
