🎧 AUDIOREACTIVE FESTIVAL POSTER SERIES WORKSHOP RESULTS 🎧
We’re excited to share the outcomes of a one-week workshop led by designer Talia Cotton (@taliacotton) with second-year Media & Interaction Design students at @ecal_ch @ecal_mid!
Each student created a series of three audioreactive posters for a music festival of their choice — one for each headlining artist. Designed as part of a cohesive visual identity, the posters react in real time to the unique energy of each track, merging sound and design into a dynamic system.
The workshop encouraged students to rethink the concert poster as a digital-first experience, fit for today’s social media formats. Through tools using live audio input and generative processes, students experimented with giving partial control to sound itself — letting the music shape the visual outcome.
🖥️ Assistant: Théo Déchanez / @theodechanez
🎥 Videographer: Achille Masson / @ac.hille
📸 Photographer: Marvin Merkel / @marvin.merkel
🎵 Projects in order of appearance:
Benjamin Vermot / @benjaminvermot
Marco Boumya / @moga.raw
Matthieu Noël / @matth.noel
Blendi Mazreku / @blen_di8
Léon Bonnet / @leonbonnet.ch

Comment “how to” for a process post!
AD @breezebae.biz is the best.
Double illo + generative motion asset for the cover article in this weekend’s Sunday Times Opinion section. Always a pleasure to work with the hardworking crew at @nytopinion, this time led by the lovely Art Director @breezebae.biz ! The cover asset was fully generated by code to give it a real gravity effect. The motion asset uses code to spawn exponentially. Swipe to see how many images were exported to get to the final refined asset!

The identity and website for @almostudio is a long time coming and a labor of love. ❣️
When the architecture duo approached me last year for a website and identity, one of the first things I learned about them is that their process is sometimes even more important than their final product:
“We draw a lot as part of our process.,” they said in an early interview, “That’s one of the things that makes us different. We’re not just hands-on. We discover more about each project by drawing.”
That concept alone birthed a total of sixteen (!) exploratory concepts, and led to an extended coding timeline to get the interactive to land—and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the product.
Thanks to the immensely talented @anthonyvgagliardi and @dbooth for the openness to do something different, and the patience to make it work.
