To support our operating costs as a volunteer-led organization, we have produced a portfolio of images by the 5 folks who create FPN’s programming! Prints are on 8.5”x11” paper and not signed or editioned. In the FPN spirit of connection and dialogue, each artwork was chosen by another FPN team member. Stacey’s image here was selected by co-director @ursulahandleigh

BIO: Stacey Tyrell (FPN Co-Director) was born and raised in Toronto. She attended OCAD University, where she majored in Photography. Her work predominantly deals with themes of identity, race, and heritage as they pertain to post-colonial societies and the Caribbean diaspora. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at The Magenta Foundation, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Canadian Museum for Immigration at Pier 21, and The Center for Photography at Woodstock. Her images are part of Heritage Canada and the Montréal Arts Interculturels permanent collections, and have appeared in such publications as European Photography, Marie Claire South Africa, Pictures From Paradise: A Survey of Contemporary Caribbean Photographers, Prefix Photo, and Applied Arts Magazine. She is currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

For those of you who know me, I am very proud of the island of 🇰🇳Nevis🇰🇳 where my family is from.Last week, it was my honor to speak and represent the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society at the UNESCO Memory of the World Workshop on Enhancing Disaster Resilience of Caribbean Documentary Heritage that took place in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines April 29th - 30th.I was in excellent company and shared with other experts about how the grant we received will allow us to preserve vulnerable documents and items in the face of climate change.Special thanks to the People of Japan and UNESCO for funding such a crucial initiative. #unesco #unitednations #memoryoftheworld #caribbeanheritage #3d #preservation #climatechange
