We were invited to create this spatial installation for the stage, composed of 3D-printed structures, mirrored acrylic, laser, and haze. The installation evokes an inner, self-generating force, like a seed breaking through rock.

‘first contact’ originates from science fiction, describing the first encounter between extraterrestrial intelligence and humanity. It marks an irreversible critical point, and also refers to the moment of impact when a viewer first encounters a system or space - an unanticipated experience.

The logo is derived from a circuit switch diagram, pointing to the moment of transition and activation.

Studio first contact is a London-based new media art studio. It focuses on translating complex systems into perceptible space and installations, exploring between precision and surreal imagination.

Our work includes interactive installations, visual content, laser and lighting systems, as well as immersive environments.

We have worked with clients including Lancôme, London Fashion Week, Ballymore, Mercedes-Benz, Beijing Poly Art, and Noryangjin Market.
