We’re delighted to bring 𝗛𝗿𝘃𝗼𝗷𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗻𝗶ć musician, sound engineer, and LASER artist from Zagreb to Vienna!

Hrvoje has been working with oscilloscope music and ILDA laser systems since 2019, exploring the threshold between electronic signals and visual geometry.

While Hrvoje’s media art approaches the oscilloscope both as measurement device and artistic apparatus—a synesthetic converter—his musical practice runs even deeper. In 2010, he founded the Croatian cult psychedelic rock formation Š𝘂𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗮 (𝘕𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴) that targeted the boundaries of expressiveness and recording technologies through direct audio-to-vinyl cuts.

An Instructor at 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮.𝗼𝗿𝗴, he teaches oscilloscope music, Pure Data, sound design. A curious inventor! A translator between analogue and digital, between signal and sensation.

It feels strange that my osciloographics are projected without the sound which created the picture. But, it will be fun because I'm doing it for @nipplepeopleofficial

Vectrex is full of limitations, but has a lot of character. I love it! The image you see is drawn by the sound you hear. The flickering is caused by difference between frequencies and phone camera shutter speed/frame rate.
