Bade feat. Jimmy Somerville out on Thursday!

“Sally sent me the instrumental version of the track she had written, she just had the name ‘Bade’ and I started to explore what it might mean to me.

The lyrics are about my personal journey, and the demons that I have fought with mentally throughout my life.

Sally’s daughter Flo came up with the concept and shot the video for the track which portrays a character that seems to be exorcising his personal demons… which was so fitting.”

I wrote the track with @richnorthen and Jimmy sent back this incredible vocal.

I instantly knew how the the track and vocal should sit together and the mood that we wanted to create

Alongside my first single ‘Bade’ I’m going old-school and releasing a B-side!

‘The Garden’ is a string instrumental, created from the time spent in my home studio looking between my computer screen and the garden outside my window.

Writing for strings is a big part of my life and career, and I always knew my album would be half songs and half instrumentals.

‘The Garden’ features some of the amazing players who I regularly record with, and who have played on many of the arrangements I’ve written over the years.

35 years ago this week “Ripe” the album by Banderas my band with the wonderful Caroline Buckley came out.
This clip from our first single ‘This is your Life’ is the American video as the record company weren’t too keen on the one we shot in the UK. It was quite surreal experience filming this!

35 years of Massive Attack’s Blue Lines.
This popped up from Phoenix Festival 1996 where I got to perform with them on this iconic track and also with Bjork on the same day.
Obviously filmed before I phones hence the really bad quality!

This one is close to my heart.
I started working with Aiden a couple of years ago producing her incredible songs. She blew me away with her talent as a singer, guitarist and songwriter.
Tomorrow Aiden is releasing her first EP written in her early teenage years.
We have a lot more to come all ready to be released,but need as much support as possible.
